Pella makes a variety of doors from their Designer Series sliding doors to their French hinged patio doors. The company also makes casement and double-hung windows.

Meanwhile, Pella also sells a budget-wise line of Pella doors and windows called Proline. The ProLine of doors are all ENERGY STAR qualified and still affordable.

Because of their increased marketing and heightened brand awareness, Pella doors tend to be higher priced than their similar counterparts.
For example, Home Depot sells a store brand door that's ENERGY STAR rated and also features triple pane glass, but it's significantly less expensive than its Pella Architecture Series counterpart.
So, while Pella doors represent excellent quality and great design innovation in the door and windows industry, you may want to wait until they go on sale or at least buy through a builder or contractor (they may be eligible for a reduced rate).
The Final Word on Pella
Overall, Pella doors are excellent quality and highly energy efficient. Their special lock systems ensure that conditioned or heated air stays inside while cold or hot outdoor air stays out. However, they're often pricey and consumers may be better off waiting for a sale.
