Amarr Garage Doors first opened their doors in 1951. Today, they operate four factories and 65 distribution and sales centers across the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Hungary and India. Their doors are sold by over 3000 authorized and independent garage door dealers.
The company, Amarr Garage Doors, is based in the Winston-Salem area of North Carolina, a region known for its building supply and furniture store manufacturers.

Quality of Amarr Doors
In 2007, Amarr garage doors received the Best Buy rating for three of its Classica Collection models from Consumer Digest magazine. The product was also chosen for the Top 100 list in the 2005 summer edition of Building Products Magazine.
The Classica Collection, one of Amarr’s most popular garage doors is made totally from steel (so, no vinyl overlays) and features stamped sections, including various design and window options. There are over 52 design and color configurations.

Design and Style of Amarr Doors
Amarr also makes a wooden garage door for those who prefer a classic, wooden look. Through their Bob Timberlake Collection, By Design Collection, and Biltmore Estate Collections, Amarr has a range of traditional, wood garage doors for homeowners to choose from.
The Biltmore Estate Collection is their latest. The doors are Western red cedar wooden overlays that are then attached to 2 inches of insulated, commercial-quality steel.
Because their wooden doors emit such a classic and traditional look, they’re often featured in magazines like Custom Home, Home and Garden, Home Journal and more.
Custom Designs
Amarr also lets custom home designers submit their own garage door designs. So, if you want a particular layout, window placement, stain or color, you can send in your garage door design and Amarr will build it.
Prices for Amarr Doors
The prices for Amarr doors can vary wildly depending on the materials, whether windows are included and if you’re opting for a custom or of-the-shelf design.
Typically, premium Amarr garage doors will range in price from anywhere from $1000 to $10,000 per door. However, savvy customers can pick up off-the-shelf standard Amarr doors (like their popular WeatherGuard garage doors) for between $300 and $500.
